Nokia ranks among the most connected organizations in the 6G industry map. It became one of the founding participants in 6G Flagship, the Finnish 6G initiative launched in 2018. Since then, Nokia has expanded its involvement in Finnish industry alliances, research activities, and demonstrator projects.
In terms of wider geographic footprint, Nokia has strong connections to the United States (upper left of illustration), Japan (lower left of illustration), and the “International” category of initiatives (upper right of illustration).
Nokia’s European efforts are evident from its participation in 6G IA and the HEXA-X programs, including its role as project lead for HEXA-X.
Other major nations are also present in Nokia’s network, and it is interesting to note links to emergent initiatives from India and the Middle East where there are high aspirations to play a role in steering the future of 6G.
