As is to be expected, South Korea’s Samsung Electronics is heavily involved in local and international 6G initiatives. Its South Korea cluster appears on the lower, left-hand side of Samsung Electronics’ graph below. There is a strong emphasis on AI-RAN initiatives. Samsung Electronics is also involved with academia (via Korea University) and the government (Ministry of Science & ICT initiative).
Samsung’s next two most active clusters involve initiatives in the United States and others that map to the “International” category, the latter continuing Samsung’s interests in AI-RAN.
Samsung Electronics also plays a role in China’s 6G-promotion efforts, and the United Kingdom’s funding mechanism for 6G research.
